AFFTC
Post Test Analysis System (APTAS)
APTAS
is a data analysis environment that was developed for the Air Force
Flight Test Center (AFFTC) at Edwards AFB. APTAS
allows discipline (Flight Test) engineers to analyze test data for
a particular system by using a common toolbox of algorithms, visualization
utilities, and data management utilities. This toolbox includes re-hosted
legacy-system capabilities within an open-system architecture.
APTAS
is a software system designed to process, analyze, and display recorded
test data. It has "generic" capabilities for working with
tabular data, most typically in the form of time history data. It
also has specific (non-generic) capabilities to analyze test data
for aircraft flight-test disciplines such as aircraft performance
analysis, aircraft pitot-static analysis, and avionics analysis.
APTAS
is:
Portable - Java-based, HW independent.
Compatible
-Data Import & Export handles most data formats, includes
links to MATLAB®
Modular
- user stores & manages data files using
a database that relates & groups data files for customized
processing.
Reusable
-Maximizes the flexibility to customize the analysis environment for
specific discipline requirements.
Maintainable
- Well documented.
User
Friendly - Drag and drop
Customizable
- Any type of data (time based) can be analyzed within APTAS.
