Hardware Engineering

SYMVIONICS’ hardware engineers, located in our Orange Park (Jacksonville), FL facility, use our ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System documented and proven processes to produce hardware designs and products that integrate with SYMVIONICS’ software solutions to provide overall system capability and solutions.

Our hardware engineering capabilities include:

  • Researching, designing, developing and modifying new and/or existing components
  • Developing engineering specifications and requirements
  • Analyzing, developing and recommending engineering modifications and/or processes
  • Gathering test requirements and developing test procedures
  • Conducting error testing and integration testing to qualify hardware components/systems

Our hardware engineering expertise includes:

  • CHardware Engineeringomplex Mechanical Structures (cockpits, instructor stations, etc.)
  • Sheet Metal Fabrication
  • Computer Component Specification/Selection
  • Digital/Analog Input/Output Systems
  • Video Distribution Systems
  • Primary Control Loading Systems
  • Secondary Control Loading Systems
  • Electrical Power and Power Distribution Systems
  • Simulator Control “Boxes”
  • Cable Design and Manufacturing
  • Aircraft Avionics Data Bus Interface Systems

SYMVIONICS personnel have designed, built, and installed thousands of cables from electrical power to video distribution…to Ethernet networks…to MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429 bus wiring. Many cables are of aircraft quality and design as they frequently connect to aircraft avionics equipment installed in simulator and trainers.

Our cable manufacturing capability includes:
