|As a subcontractor to the Delaware Resource Group of Oklahoma, LLC “DRG”; SYMVIONICS is providing simulator engineering and Training System Support System (TSSC) support to the JPATS GBTS. The JPATS GBTS provides pilot training to both U.S. Air Force and Navy pilots in the operation of the T-6 aircraft. With all options, support will be provided through March 2025.
The JPATS GBTS consists of five types of Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs):
|Operational Flight Trainers (OFT), which provide full flight simulation with visual cues in a 270 degree field of vision dome for flight training; Instrument Flight Trainers (IFT), which provide full fidelity front cockpit flight controls and horizontal and vertical visual system for flight simulations; Unit Training Devices (UTD), which provide full fidelity front cockpit controls with no visual cues; Ejection Seat Trainer (EST), an ejection seat replica of the T-6 seat which provides realistic ejection training; and Egress Procedure Trainer (EPT), which is a replica of a T-6 cockpit and canopy with functional switches and handles used in cockpit egress for training new pilots on cockpit egress procedures.|
|On the JPATS GBTS program, SYMVIONICS will have the opportunity to support current and future upgrades and modifications to the GBTS. Upgrade and modifications include concurrency modifications to reflect the evolution of weapon system designs, employment, tactics, intelligence data, and maintenance procedures to maintain a concurrent configuration with the T-6 aircraft; maintenance modifications to enhance reliability, maintainability, and availability; technology insertion to resolve parts obsolescence issues or improve the training devices with technological advances; and training enhancements in order to enhance training utility. SYMVIONICS is currently upgrading the Instructor Operator Station and the image generation system to the FlightSafety Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) VITAL 1100 (V1100) Image Generator (IG). SYMVIONICS also provides on-site support to the DRG TSSC at Randolph AFB, TX.|
