On September 18, 2021, began the fifth year of its subcontract to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) Submarine Skills – Training Network – Virtual Interactive Shipboard Instructional Tour – Unmanned Aerial Systems (SubSkillsNet-VISIT-UAS) training systems. The Prime Contractor is Bowhead Business & Technical Solutions, LLC (Bowhead). SYMVIONICS joined the Bowhead team to win the follow-on contract in September 2017.

SubSkillsNet consists of networked software applications that simulate numerous boat systems (radar, navigation, periscope, etc.). VISIT consists of software capabilities that enable the display of linked spherical photographs so that they may be navigated by a user, while linking of instructional media throughout the tour. The SUBSKILLSNET-VISIT-UAS training and research test bed development effort consists primarily of end item deliverables including: training software products, media, research support products, test and evaluation products, technical documentation, life cycle support products, software integration products, Navy workstation emulation products, and software products consisting of re-used and expanded SubSkillsNet-VISIT-UAS, research, and related code, libraries, media, and data.
