SYMVIONICS CONTINUES IN ITS TWELFTH YEAR OF SUPPORT TO NAVY SUBSKILLSNET PROGRAM
SYMVIONICS partnered with Bowhead Business & Technical Solutions, LLC (prime contractor) and was successful in the bid for the Submarine Skills – Training Network – Virtual Interactive Shipboard Instructional Tour (SubSkillsNet /VISIT) – Unmanned Aerial Systems Training.  This new contract started October 2017.

SubSkillsNet consists of networked software applications that simulate numerous boat systems (radar, navigation, periscope, etc.).  Virtual Interactive Shipboard Instructional Tour (VISIT) consists of software capabilities that enable the display of linked spherical photographs so that they may be navigated by a user, while linking of instructional media throughout the tour.

The SubSkillsNet contract is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with a period of performance of one-year base period and four one-year options.  Support under this contract by SYMVIONICS includes critical support to the SubSkillsNet Team with Software Engineers, Media Artists, Quality Assurance Specialist, and Instructional System Design Specialists.  Numerous PC-Based Submarine training systems and data products are supported on this contract.  The SubSkillsNet-VISIT suite consists of software and hardware components that are primarily focused on submarine navigation and generic spatial photo-centric training systems.  Work encompasses development of Software, Computer generated 3D and 2D graphics models, Multimedia production, Web-based training products, Teaching aids and Real-time simulations.

All work on this contract is performed on-site in the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) facilities in Orlando, FL.
